Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.7
Lantern Hollow is a quiet adventure game, the kind you play with headphones late at night. You guide a lamplighter through a hand-painted town, solving small environmental puzzles to relight each street, and as you do the town slowly wakes up around you.
There's barely any text, which I loved — the story is told through what changes in the scenery as you progress. The puzzles are fair, mostly about observation rather than obscure logic, so you rarely get stuck for the wrong reasons.
It's a short game, maybe three hours, but it doesn't overstay. It knows exactly what it is: a calm, beautiful little journey with a satisfying ending. I finished it in two sittings and immediately missed it.
